The First Draft

L.S.

I am Lily Common, a young yet utterly exhausted undergraduate. Since I graduated, I realized I should have been more career oriented while choosing my major. Moreover, I am terrified of the prospect of finishing my formal education and having to be a self-sustaining adult, so I have taken a gap year. Currently I am employed at a cultural center and grand cafĂ©, but since I somehow get assigned all the night shifts. My rhythm is slowly but surely taking its physical and mental toll. Moreover, I am both working and spending full-time, so therefore in great need of another source of income if I ever want to move out of the parental home. When I was thinking of (legal) jobs with the highest salary which require barely any brain capacity, I had to think of your company. I have gotten to know your company through a friend, who had worked for you as an online assistant. She told me a fair share about the advantages of the job, like that you can google everything because you work from home.

However, I noticed that I am not qualified for even a single position offered on your site, so I would like to inquire whether you currently need an online assistant or maybe have a similarly straightforward work, preferable with the same pay. I am sure that a list of my personal qualities will convince you to put me on the payroll, because you will be astonished how much an assertive, sociable, reliable person like me can accomplish on the web. Lastly, I hope that your company will look good on my CV and inspire my search for a richer and better future.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Lily Common
